Philosophy

Pregnancy is a unique and wondrous time in life. The Prenatal Yoga Center's goal is to maintain a comfortable and contemplative environment for pregnant women and their families. As a yoga center we help parents and children openly explore the mind, body, and spirit. Class size is intentionally kept small, assuring that you will receive individual attention. We have conveniently arranged a series of classes specifically designed to guide you and your child through the journey of pregnancy and beyond:

Prenatal Yoga - The program helps strengthen the body for child bearing and aids in relieving the common discomforts your body experiences. Classes also help you find the time and space to look within yourself, allowing you to openly explore your own intrinsic knowledge about the process of birth.

Postnatal Yoga - Classes focus on renewing your strength and energy, and exploring a balance within your mind and body.

Mommy (or Daddy) and Me - Classes provide quiet time dedicated to strengthening the emotional, physical and spiritual bond between you and your child.

Music for Babies - Our music classes give you a time and a place to share this love of music with each other. The babies and adults experience songs, chants, movement activities and simple instrument play. You will be amazed and impressed at how young babies learn through music. This class will continue again in the fall.

As a resource center we provide information and education for new parents as their family expands, offering various workshops and lectures that addresses common issues related to pregnancy, early childhood parenting, family dynamics and alternative healing.

We look to create a quiet sacred space and community where you and your family can step out of the busy New York lifestyle to find warmth and comfort.

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 02:17 PM.
