Hi Deb, Thank you for looking into this- The basic translation of the situation is an "identical" twin pregnancy where each fetus has its own amniotic sack, but both share the same chorionic sack and placenta. Apparently the risk of twin to twin transfusion, as well as other risks, is greater in this situation then in other twin pregnancies.
