Put my mind at ease
Bev came out to see us at home a week after our baby was born. However, she was available and giving me phone consults from day one. She helped us with our latch and guided us through supplementing.
I like her because she is very reasonable when it comes to breast feeding. She thinks that if something is hard, then you wont do it. So she actually suggested that I give my baby a bottle at the beginning because the most important thing is to feed the baby and not to make the mom crazy.
She also runs a group which I have attended and its very good. You can get followup tips from her and meet other moms.
I dont know what other LCs cost, but I thought her house visit was rather expensive at appx $190. I dont regret the cost however, it was worth it.
