Andrea - Switching To Formula

I've been breastfeeding my 8-week old exclusively. However I will be returning to work in 4 weeks and am concerned that i will not be able to pump enough milk to keep up with his demand. (I currently pump between feedings and cannot seem to get more than 2 oz per pumping session). When should i introduce him to formula? any suggestions/
Thanks
Cathy

Dear Cathy,

Firstly, congratulations to you and your family on the birth of your baby boy. Ethically I am unable to discuss this matter in a public forum. I recommend that you discuss this with your Lactation Consultant privately in order to determine the best course to take.

Be well
