Hi Amy~ I need some advice about how long it is safe to re-use a carseat. My son will be exactly 5 years older then our daughter....so I am wondering if it is safe to reuse his carseat, or if it would be better to purchase a new one. It is certainly not something we would want to skimp on, but we'd like to know your thoughts about how long you can safely use a product like that. Thank you for your help!

Your best bet is to look on the seat and see if there is an expiration date. If not, you can call the manufacturer to see what the recommended duration of use for that particular seat is. For sure, if the seat has been in a moderate or severe crash, it shouldn't be used.
