We began Granny-Made®, back in 1985. Our first venture was a catalog of handmade cable knit sweaters. We were inspired by designs Granny Bert Levy first began knitting in 1917 for U.S. Soldiers fighting in Europe. Over the next 75 years she knit wonderful sweaters, hats, and mittens for our family and friends.Designs we still carry today.

Granny taught us to value quality, aspire to a higher standard, and to lead ethical lives.
We will hold her in our hearts forever.

In 1986 we opened our store, Granny-Made®, in a wonderful neighborhood on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Over the years, our store, which specializes in sweaters, clothing, and gifts, has steadily grown to include a wide assortment of special merchandise from around the world for adults, children and infants.
