My husband and I are currently attending prenatal classes with 8 other couples. We started out with a great overview of the birth process, what happens, how and why!
We have now moved on to coping techniques. We like the fact that the class does not follow any single method but draws coping techniques from various methods and encourages you to use what is right for you. The atmosphere is non-judgemental and Erika emphasizes that there is no 'right' way to do this and that we should pick and choose what it right for us - whether that's an immediate epidural or using no drugs at all.
We are doing to a series of 5 3-hour evening classes (although its possible to do a shorter course). 3 hours in the evening is LONG, but well worth it for the depth of information we are receiving.
We have also signed up for a prenatal breast feeding class and newborn care class as part of a single package. Can't comment on these yet!
