today after the music for babies class, some of the moms suggested we add a toddlers music class. so i am considering this opition. what other classes or workshops would you find interesting?
well, i don't need this NOW, but i know about a year ago when I was trying to get pregnant again after a miscarriage I was looking really hard for a good Yoga for Fertility class in the city. I didn't find one and so I ended up using a DVD, which wasn't so bad, but a class might have been nicer. So there's an idea... Katherine
hi susan thank you for your imput. last fall we did offer a baby sign language workshop. i was surprised by the small attendence. although, i was considering trying it again. keep an eye out on the schedule for another baby sign language class in the fall. thanks deb
Hi Deb: Maybe a pregnancy support group class or a mother-to-be support groups class (whichever title sounds more appealing)..this could be a thread on the site or an actual class or both! (I realized that I spelled pregnancy wrong for the title of this thread but I am not technical enough to change it..sorry) Leah (from wed 10am prenatal class)

Hi Katherine: I actually know of a fertility yoga class at world yoga at 12 pm on fridays. Most of the women have had miscarriages or have had iui's or ivf's and it is very supportive and we all go out to lunch after. A few of us who have gotten pregnant continue to go occasionally and still feel welcome!
hi leah we actually have been offering a "moms-to-be" support group. i think it just finished two or three weeks ago. jessica, the group leader, and i decided not to start another one until september. for some reason, we get less response with that group then we do with the "new moms" support group. but i can assure you, that in the fall there will be a new group. thanks for your feedback. until the group gets started, feel free to keep posting and create a thread! take care deb

Deb, I'd love for you to offer either the postnatal yoga or mommy & me yoga class on a Saturdays. Unfortunately, I'm back at work and can't attend any of the weekday classes. I ran into Michelle when she was about 8 months pregnant (I'm assuming she's had her baby by now!) and she said she'd be interested in teaching it. Thanks, Jill
hi jill thanks your feedback for about a saturday class for postnatal or mommy and me. i had offered a saturday postnatal class awhile ago and it ner took off. since then the studio has grown, so i will consider it for the fall. thank you again for your feedback. deb
hi, i'd be interested in a baby sign language class. deb, you've mentioned you had one before but it was low in attendance. however, i keep hearing more and more about baby sign language and its benefits, so maybe the word is getting out!
i will look into a baby sign langauge class for the fall. it will probably be more of a single workshop, than a whole series. keep an eye out on the website for an announcement about it.
I just saw the newsletter announcement about the postnatal class on the schedule for Saturday. I'm so excited. I'm going to send a note out to my new mom's group (40 relatively new moms on the UWS). Thanks so much for trying it again!
