Doctor Needed Any Location - PLease help! Looking for OB

Hi!!!!

I am 9 1/2 weeks pregnant with my first baby and very excited about it!!!
I had signed up to work with a midwife practice from St Lukes Roosevelt that delivers at the Birthing Center.
Unfortunately, a few days ago I found out I have a thrombophilia so the birthing center is no longer an option and I am looking for a good OB. I would love to find someone who will be on the low intervention side. Of course I will do what's needed to have a healthy baby, but I would love to find a Dr. who sees labor as natural and who will be able to work with me to make the birth as natural as possible under the circumstances.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated as I need to dind someone asap.

Thanks soooo much for your help!!!
All the best,
Deb

I strongly recommend Dr. Eric Ganz. He is affiliated with Roosevelt and very supportive of an intervention free birth experience whenever possible, (When I showed him my birth plan requests for a natural birth, no episiotomy, etc., his response was "Great!") He was thorough with his exams and evaulations without ever being alarmist and always followed up promptly when I phoned him. I had some complications during my delivery (my story is on the birth story page) and he was amazing.

Dr. Eric Ganz
80 Eighth Avenue, Suite 303 (between 47th and 48th)
(212) 641-4500
Eric M. Ganz, MD * General Obstetricians and Gynecologists * New York City's St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Congrats and best wishes,
Susie

I would highly recommend Dr. Lily Wong and Dr. Gae Rodke. I have worked with both of numerous times as a labor support doula. I feel strongly that they both believe in the mother's ability to birth without routine interventions and would fully support you if that is the path you would like to take.

Good luck!
