Within the past few months I have had the pleasure of working with two wonderful OB/GYNs. Dr. Lurie and Dr. Ganz. Both these doctors work of out of St. Lukes/ Roosevelt. Neither of them attends births in the Birth Center

I was most impressed with Dr. Lurie's patience and capability to listen to the client's wishes. My client's water had broken rather early on a Friday afternoon. Labor was not moving along and Dr. Lurie knew my client wanted to have a natural childbirth and avoid induction. Dr. Lurie stayed at her office until 10:30 on a Friday evening and had my client check in with her at her office to see how things were progressing. Dr. Lurie knew that if she sent my client straight in to the hospital, she would have "been on the clock" and likely on the path to an induction. Upon checking in at the hospital around midnight, Dr. Lurie continued to check in on us and the mama's progress. (Even though she was not on call that night).

Through out the whole labor and delivery, Dr. Lurie was kind, professional, compassionate, and open to honoring my client's wishes. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Ganz was swift, clear minded, and very personable. The birth I attended with him turned hectic very quickly. Where other doctors would have jumped into a c-section, he really wanted to avoid that and opted for a very skilled vacuum extraction. I was so impressed with how smoothly and non-alarmist acted in a rather tense situation. I would absoutely recommend Dr. Ganz!
