In response to many question we have received on this a very controversial subject, I asked Judy about her take on vaccinations and how she is going to present the information so parents feel they have choices and are being encouraged to ask their doctors questions.
Here are her answers:
Is the lecture completely anti- vaccinations?
I am anti vaccine but I always say that parents have a
choice and I would never say they are wrong to
vaccinate, if that is their choice I would suggest
doing it differently than the " schedule" and also
offer that they get titres to test blood for immunity
(I'll explain more at the lecture)
Will the lecture offer solutions to this problem?
I think so but it is a very controversial subject and
something parents need to decide. I offer information
that parents are not given and , yes options of other
things they "COULD" do.
I feel this lecture is encouraging parents to make informed decisions. Just as I encourage my prenatal yoga students to explore all options and scenarios of labor and birth and not be afraid to ask their doctor questions, this lecture is given with the same intention.
