Question First time mom-to-be

Hello!

I would like to introduce myself. I am 16 weeks pregnant and as all first time moms feel... I'm very excited but nervous.

I have never done yoga before - but I'm excited to start prenatal yoga. My body feels a little stiff these days. I'm hoping prenatal yoga will bring balance to myself and my growing baby. How many weeks into the pregnancy is it a good time to start prenatal yoga classes?

Hi Cheryl

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am so glad that you are interested in doing prenatal yoga during your pregnancy. I think you will find yoga will alleviate your stiffness and aches and definitely create time to be present with your baby.

To answer your question, you can start prenatal yoga at any time. We have many women that start in their first trimester and continue all the way up to their due date.
