I'm not sure about a birthing stool but I know that if you contact a midwife you can get set up with all of that. I think that sounds wonderful. My first delivery was the worst thing ever. My doctor reached his arm into my uterus (Not knowing that I had no pain meds) and pulled my placenta out. I thought I was supposed to deliver it myself. It was the worst pain to feel a human being stick their arm inside of me. I never went back to him again. I did have my second in a hospital with another doctor that I really loved.
