C.B.S. Midwifery was established in 1982, and by 2004 had helped birth over 2,500 babies. Obstetrical and well-woman gynecology care is provided by Barbara Sellars, CNM and Elizabeth Boyce, CNM, who are certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Barbara, herself, has helped birth over 1400 babies. Elizabeth Boyce, CNM joined the practice in January 2001.

Midwifery is recognized as a licensed profession by the state of New York. Barbara and Elizabeth have the legal authority to write prescriptions.
