I know a nanny who is looking to ease back into work herself. She is an amazing mother to 3 boys and a 3 month old girl. I have a 6 week old and will be returning back to work mid September. She has offered to help me out 10 hrs/week for 2 months while my husband and I settle back into work and she looks for something full time. We only need someone for a handful of hours a week due to part time work and ability to work from home. Otherwise, I would definitely keep her for myself.

I could go on about the wonderful person she is and how great she is with kids, but let me share how I know first. I am a supervisor for early intervention and preschool special education teachers that service families at home. I supervise 50-60 families so I come across A LOT of nannies and know the range that is out there. Even more so, when I was a provider she worked with a family (twin boys) I serviced before they relocated to CA. We worked closely together for 2 years. it takes a truly gifted person to work with a child with special needs (autism in this case) and she was remarkable.

I figured I would help her out since she is helping us and your situation seems so fitting. We could definitely work out a schedule so that we all get the part time support we need as we go through these transitions. I know she is open to working 20-25 hrs per week for a few months before going full time. I'm so relieved that she will be caring for our newborn and look forward to all that she is going to teach us.
