We are looking for a part-time live-out nanny 3 days per week on the UWS for our happy 6-month-old girl. (If you already have an amazing nanny and are looking for someone to hire her 3 days a week, please contact me directly.)
Requirements: Legal, English speaking, non-smoker, at least 3 years of infant experience and 2 strong references from families you have worked for in the past. Must be responsible, kind, hard working, reliable, enthusiastic, fun, energetic, and willing to take direction. CPR/First Aid certified or willing to attend training. We’d love someone to feel like part of our family. Should be fit- we live in a 4th floor walk up and you must be willing and able to schlep baby, car seat, etc. upstairs. Our stroller is stored on the 1st floor. All references will be checked and a criminal background check will be done.
Hours: Monday 9-7, Wednesday 9-7, Thursday 9-6, plus potentially an occasional weeknight or weekend day if possible. Some mornings may begin earlier than 9am, depending on my teaching schedule, which varies by the week. One parent will occasionally be working from home during some of your hours.
Responsibilities include:
For baby: feeding, bathing, organizing clothes and toys, keeping her on a steady nap schedule, teaching songs and games, taking her outside every day for walks and adventures to parks/playgrounds/classes/museums, or organizing play dates. We’d like you to be loving and engaged with our daughter, and avoid tv and cell phone use.
In home: laundry, light cleaning, occasional errands or grocery shopping-or putting away delivered groceries, and keeping us neat and organized. Ability to cook is a plus, but not a requirement.
