I had the pleasure of having Merlie take care of my two young children for the past 2 and a half years. She devoted herself to my family and my children’s well being by providing them with the best care I could have ever asked for. As a working mom, I never doubted that my children were receiving the absolute best care while I was gone.

Merlie is currently looking for work as a babynurse. She is CPR certified, has newborn certification and has experience with twins and premies. She started working for us when my daughter was 4 months and she cared for my son from birth. She was excellent at handling the challenging newborn weeks and months. She was skilled at soothing my son to sleep, bathing him and feeding him. She was also a wonderful support system for my husband and me as we adjusted to life with a newborn and a toddler.

Merlie is warm, loving, affectionate and is one of those people who truly loves taking care of babies. As a mother herself, she has a gentle and loving yet strong way about her – never getting phased by the challenges of caring for young children. She was diligent about getting my son on a schedule, making sure that he had adequate play time, tummy time and that all his needs were being met. She was also great at engaging my older daughter in the care of her baby brother which I believe is one of the main things that has prevented the sibling rivalry that can exist with new siblings.

Merlie was such an important part of our family. She helped teach my husband and me how to be better parents and she loved my kids as if they were her own. I know the next family who has the honor of having Merlie care for their child or children will be as happy with her as we have been.
