We are looking for an experienced and loving nanny for our son who will be 4 months old in January. The position will begin after the New Year, and will range from 30-35 hours per week. (We do have some flexibility to hire the right person starting in December.)

The ideal candidate will:
-be warm and loving
-have several years of experience with infants
-be punctual and responsible
-be proactive and engaging
-be open-minded and communicate well
-have great references

We want someone who will get on the floor to play with our son, engage him in conversation and reading, sing to him, and arrange and take him on outings and playdates. Daily childcare duties include: caring for and playing with baby, reading to baby, arranging and going on playdates with baby, some laundry for baby, and eventually some cooking for baby as he's weaned. Light housekeeping duties include: doing some dishes, straightening up/putting away toys, occasional errands (i.e., going to post office, picking up 1 or 2 things at the grocery store).

The perfect person would be energetic and fun-loving, and have excellent communication skills. We like our son to have a routine, so we want someone who is open to our child-rearing choices, willing to follow and possibly co-construct a routine, and give us a detailed daily description of how his day went.

We need someone to work 7:30/8:00 a.m. to 5:30/6:00 p.m. three days a week. (As of now, these three days are flexible.) If possible, we also could use someone who could come a fourth day to work 3 hours on another afternoon and occasional evenings. (We'd be willing to share with another family if necessary.)
