The Nanny Exchange is a person to person exchange. All agencies are asked not to post in this section. Agencies are welcome to add their listing to the NYC Resources section.

When Posting:
You are free to do as you choose, but we advise that you do not post personal contact information in the Nanny Exchange. This includes emails, numbers and addresses.

The best tool you can use to contact another member is the Private Message (PM) system that is included in this board. All messages are private and will only be seen by you and the person you send it to. Feel free to exchange contact info in via PMs.

You can PM someone by clicking on thier member name (ie John) in a thread. A drop down menu will appear and you can select "Send a Private Message to (Member's Name)"

To check to see if you have a PM from another member, you must be logged in. If you have a PM there will be a blinking envelope in your profile box (under the PYC header and next the the "log out" link).

You can also send another member an email by clicking on the member name in a thread. A drop down menu will appeare and you can select "Send email to (Member's Name)":

To check if you are able to receive emails from other members do the following:

1. Click on My Profile in the Quick Links section of the left hand navigation bar
2. Click on Edit Options in your profile
3. Under Messaging & Notification check the box for Receive Email from Other Members
4. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page

Please note that other members will not be able to see your email address until you reply to their intial email.
