Family living in Manhattan seeks full-time, experienced Nanny/Governess/Family Assistant for 2 children (3 and 5). Please be warm and extremely reliable with a positive and service-minded attitude. Ideal nanny should be either a former teacher or private family governess and activities expert, well-educated, professional and sensitive. Nanny should be comfortable being in full charge of kids as well as handling inventory and shopping for the household. Some of the duties include picking up the children from school/activities, teaching manners/culture, providing emotional guidance, planning educational and cultural activities and overseeing studies. Children are loving and well-behaved and someone with a clear sense of manners, discipline and boundaries is best for our home. Work hours and schedule will generally be Monday-Friday 7-6 with a break during the day and one late night during the week as well as occasional weekend babysitting. The ideal candidate will be hard-working and want to grow with a warm, loving and engaged family over the next three to five years. Both parents work and will depend upon nanny to be an educator and role model. The job will extend hours in the Summer only when we travel to our summer house upon occasion.
