Nanny Needed UWS - Looking to find your nanny the perfect home?

Hi. My family is desperately looking for a new nanny. We have tried all the usual channels, so I am now asking for help from anyone looking to find a great family for their current nanny. Because we have had a couple of bad experiences, we are not willing to speak with the nanny before first talking to the nanny's employer.

We are looking for a full-time, live out nanny (who can start sooner rather than later). We live on the UWS and have a one-year old. The primary responsibility is caring for our daughter (including cleaning her room, cooking and doing her laundry, and tons of playtime!). If this sounds like something your sweet, loving nanny is looking for and would enjoy, reply to this post. Please...

Thank you for your time and again, we are looking to speak with employers first. Nannies need not respond.

I know just the person you need...

Hello; my name is Pete and I am the former employer of the nanny I think you are currently looking for. Her name is Carol and I have nothing but praises to sing about her. She was a God-sent to our family and honestly my family still wishes she was with us. Some of the qualities I admire about Carol are her maturity, her huge, loving heart and her natural ability to care for children. She is very responsible, reliabe, punctual and she serves as the best parenting partner. There's so much I can say about Carol, but if you're at all interested please feel free to give me a call at (917) 612-5051.
Looking forward to speaking with you.
Thanks,
Pete!!

Dear Lawyermommy,
I most certainly understand your predicament as I was in a similar one about 18+ months ago. We had a terrible nanny (that was highly recommended by "friends") who inter alia lied constantly). I interviewed about 80 nannies and finally settled on Deidre after having had this one terrible experience. I fired the original nanny after hiring Deidre. After that decision, life became a lot easier and on the home front stressfree. We have a 2 year old daughter who was a premie. She was born 7 weeks early and has a speech delay. Until we moved in May to Hong Kong, she was in the Early Intervention program and received speech therapy at home twice a week. I work full time and my husband used to travel to Asia all the time for 4 to 6 week trips. Deirde was essentially responsible for anything to do with Izzie -- playing with her, stimulating her verbalization, taking her to classes, taking care of her room, do her laundry, cook her food and feed her. Deidre is wonderful! and I wish we had been able to take her with us to Hong Kong. She is creative, loving, loyal, trustworthy and our daughter loves her. With Deidre I never felt guilty leaving in the morning as I knew that Izzie was in lovng and safe hands.
Please let me know if you are interested in talking re Deidre. I am presently in Hong Kong and there is a 12 hours time difference, Perhaps we can find a mutually convenient time in the upcoming week (assuming you are interested). Please email me at dbaeuerle@hotmail.com. FYI we lived on the UES.
best regards
Dagmar
