Nanny Needed UWS - Nanny for infant mid July

We are in search of a wonderful full-time live-out nanny to care for our son mid-July. He will be three months old at that time so experience with infants is a must. The hours he would need care are M-F 9 or 9:30 to 7 or 7:30 (still trying to figure the exact hours).
> >
We live on the lower UWS (closer to Lincoln Center area) near Central Park. Also, we do have a dog who is sweet but can be intimidating with his bark. So we need someone who is comfortable around pets.
> >
Our ideal candidate will be warm, energetic, loving, intelligent, honest, punctual and polite. And someone who is active in playing, reading, taking him to the park or museums, arranging playdates , etc.
> >
We are also open to doing a nanny share. If you are interested or know a nanny you can refer, please contact us through this thread or directly at byk7@yahoo.com.

Highly recommended nanny

My former nanny, Lorna, is available for full time work. Lorna was our nanny for a short period of time when I first went back to work (I think my son was about 9 weeks). I teach at a private school on the UWS where her daughter works in the business office. Lorna was an absolute God send. I was very stressed about going back to work since my son was extremely small (he was premature) and had severe reflux. From the moment that I met Lorna, I loved her. She held my son with a tenderness which always brought a smile to my face. She treated him as if he was her own grandchild. She would let me know throughout the day how he was doing and was very patient with my new mother tiredness and neurosis. Occasionally, I would come home early and I would find her quietly speaking loving and encouraging words to him. We lived in a third floor walk up and she still took him out every day (I wanted him to have fresh air). Even my very temperamental dog loved Lorna. I have a master’s in early childhood education so I am very picky about how my son is cared for. I felt that Lorna was the perfect caregiver. She is experienced, loving and 100% devoted. I wished that Lorna could have stayed with my son until he started preschool but she needed full time hours and I could only offer part time. She agreed to work with us until she found full time work (and we found a new caregiver). She left us and began taking care of 2 infants in a nanny share situation. This past January, her share dissolved and Lorna is looking for a full time job. I HIGHLY recommend Lorna. My son is almost 2 now and Lorna still calls to check on him and even sent him a birthday card. That is how dedicated she is. If you have any more questions about Lorna, please feel free to email me at jennifer.berry@calhoun.org
You can contact Lorna at: 718-485-2329 or lornabeharie@yahoo.com
She also has other references which can be given upon request.

Thanks,
Jennifer
