Since our daughter is starting pre-school this Fall, our nanny, Santie is looking for a new full time job starting in January 2011.
She has been with us for the last two years, starting when our daughter was about 8
months old.
Santie is a very reliable and caring person, who has a very gentle and reassuring
demeanor and always knows how to get over a tantrum or calm down a child. She
taught our child to count to 20, to sing many different songs, to recognize shapes
and colors, and to be polite and say "sorry", "thank you", etc. She always
gives a full account of the day, what happened on the playground, who she
played with, if she fell and how, etc. Santie was helpful
in offering suggestions about going through different growth stages, since of
course, she has a lot of experience looking after babies and kids.
You won't see Santie chatting away on her
phone, sitting on a bench, or watching TV at home. She will be always 100%
with your child. For those of you who are very careful about what your child
eats, it will be comforting to know that she is also health-oriented so she is
not going to eat chips/candy or drink soda during the day.
