I am looking for a full time live-out nanny 55 hours a week (7:30-6:30 M-F). To start work in October, possibly earlier. We have a 8-week old little boy and live on the Upper East Side several blocks from Central Park.

I am looking for someone with significant childcare experience and a history of lengthy terms with prior employers and strong recommendations. We are searching for a long-term position, so would prefer experience with the newborn and toddler ages.

Detailed oriented is extremely important to me. Please be able to take direction but also use self-initiative to make our lives run smoother. We will expect a daily recount of the child’s activites (eating, playtime, naps, diaper changes etc) and try to keep a regular nap/feeding schedule. I am looking for someone with high energy, but also an even-keeled personality and calm demeanor.

Please be very interested in engaging in significant educational and physical development activities with our child (reading, conversation, tummy time) and generally avoid television watching. I want someone to be proactive in interacting with our child throughout the day, rather than sitting on the couch or park bench.

We need someone who speaks English very well without a very heavy accent. I will want to have one or several trial days before any final hire and may also want to run a background check.
