Question What's up with the limit on attachments by *type* ?

Hi - I wanted to post a small PDF attachment (a resume) to my "nanny referral" post. It's a 53k file. Well, seems I can't post that, because the limit for PDFs is 19.7k. The limit for zips and jpegs is 97k.

What gives? Why is there a different limit based on the file type? It would be much better if you had a list of allowed file types and a max size of N, regardless of the file type. Who has a Word doc or PDF that is under 20k?

Just my two cents. This just doesn't make any sense from a technical or usability perspective!
